Questions people ask
Who runs this website?
DubaiDrummers.com is a booking service for drummers and drum shows, based in Dubai. Every enquiry and booking made here is handled by our team in Dubai.
Which drummers can I book?
African drummers, with African dancers on request, Arabic zaffa drummers, dhol players, tabla players and percussionists, LED drummers and water drum shows.
How long do drummers play?
A zaffa or a grand entrance usually runs about 10 to 15 minutes. A stage show or a set with a DJ runs longer and is agreed in the quote.
How much does it cost to hire drummers?
Drummers are quoted per event. The price depends on the drum style, the number of drummers, the set length, equipment, travel and the date.
Can drummers lead a wedding entrance?
Yes. A zaffa, a dhol baraat or African drummers can walk the couple or the groom into the venue.
Can drummers play with our DJ?
Yes. A percussionist, a dhol player or LED drummers can play live on top of the DJ set.
How much space do drummers need?
A clear path for an entrance, and a clear stage or floor area for a show. Water drums need a few metres of clear space around them.
Do I need a permit?
Hotels and licensed venues usually cover the act under their own licence. Public, ticketed and outdoor events need a DET permit in Dubai or DCT approval in Abu Dhabi. The team checks it with your venue.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. For the October to April season, National Day, Ramadan and Eid, allow at least 3 to 4 weeks.
Can drummers perform during Ramadan?
Yes. Zaffa groups and traditional musicians are booked for iftar, suhoor and Eid events, with the performance after iftar.
Do you cover Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Travel from Dubai is part of the quote.
